I think maybe my comment on the osprey didn&#039;t go through. I looked ospreys up in my field guide and discovered that they are grouped with Hawks, Kites, Eagles, and Allies in the Family Accipitridae, so &quot;a kind of hawk&quot; is absolutely the right answer. In fact, I&#039;m just remembering that I&#039;ve heard ospreys called &quot;fish hawks.&quot;

No, this one doesn&#039;t have 365 different birds; sometimes you&#039;ll even have 2 pictures of, say, chickadees in one month. Sometimes a picture isn&#039;t suited for the vertical orientation, and they use it to span two days. Despite that, it&#039;s visually bright and interesting, and the repetition is of course very helpful for learning!
